Welcome to helengrace.co.uk, the definitive website for information about actress Helen Grace. Since her career began in the late-90s, Helen has made numerous appearances on prime time TV in shows such as Poirot, Bad Girls, Roger Roger and Love Soup and is still known to many as Brookside's 'incest sister' Georgia Simpson, in the controversial storyline which launched her straight from drama school into the national press. She has recently appeared on the West End stage in Man and Boy and the hit musical version of Dirty Dancing.

New screen captures

A small update: Four screen captures of Helen in the Channel 4 film short Hello Friend have been added to the photo gallery. The 11-minute film, a comedy horror about a software program that makes sinister things happen to its owner, was directed by Graham Linehan, the creator of The IT Crowd, and can be found on the extras disc of the IT Crowd series 1 DVD. Made in 2002, it features Martin Savage in the leading role, with Helen as his wife, and also includes appearances from David Walliams, Julia Davis and The IT Crowd’s Richard Ayoade.

Relaunch

HGuk has now properly relaunched following a much-needed lick of paint. Over three years since the last major changes, the site has been redesigned, and parts of it rewritten.

  • The CMS that the site runs on is now up-to-date. In short, everything displays as it should.
  • The CV and press archive are now easier to navigate.
  • There is a new photo gallery, with new sections, including quality screen captures from both series’ of Roger Roger, the John Sullivan sitcom set in a London minicab firm. First screened a decade ago, this was Helen’s second TV role and good copies are hard to find.

There are also tentative plans to put video clips of Helen’s TV appearances onto a YouTube channel at some time in the future.

As far as Helen’s work is concerned, her long West End run in Dirty Dancing finished at the end of September. Watch this space for more news…
